Matrix



The Stagetracker FX audio matrix is where TurboTag positions and audio input signals are combined and where audio localisation is achieved.

The audio matrix controls the audio signals sent to the speakers and requires direct access (or shared access) to the speaker amplifiers or processors in order for audio localisation to be achieved. This is easy to configure on most modern mixing consoles.

The Stagetracker FX audio matrix features a unique 3D stacked crosspoint architecture.
Each Point created in the V4 Tracking Engine is built on a unique virtual layer in the matrix and every Point layer is available to every input simultaneously. To achieve audio movement, input sources are sent dynamically between the relevant Point layers in the stack at the required levels.
This level profiling and stacked architecture means audio movement is achieved while delay values remain fixed, rather than interpolating from one delay value to another, as is the case with some other matrix designs. (Interpolating delays can introduce undesired audio anomalies such as phasing.)

This audio matrix architecture, together with proven, proprietary Smoothmove algorithms, ensures that no audible artefacts are introduced when using Stagetracker FX.

Every crosspoint in the matrix features audio level and delay.
Every matrix output features a master level, delay, solo and mute function. Parametric equalisation is available on every output for precise system set up. In addition, the audio matrix features a grand master level and mute functions.
These parameters are accessible in the V4 Tracking Engine Master Mixer.

The matrix is computer based to allow easy upgradability.
More units can be stacked for more inputs or outputs.

I/O options are AES/EBU, MADI or AES50.
